The glittering Gay Pride Festival in San Miguel
de Allende takes place for the second time in 2007. In 2006, the
festival was a great success, which will be repeated in 2007
This beautiful colonial high-altitude city has a developing and
increasingly visible and active gay and lesbian community,
although generally the gay scene still may seam a bit more
discreet and underground than in Mexico City. The increasingly
popular San Miguel de Allende Gay Pride Festival, however, is
helping to heighten the LGBT community's visibility in a
traditionally conservative town.
This year, the organizing committee has put
together a spectacular and many facetted program, which can be
consulted below. We can promise you a great time, and if you
join the official Enkidu Magazine Delegation to San Miguel de
Allende, we can offer you a very special pride experience here,
with many surprises. The tour group will be staying in a
beautiful, 4-star hotel with lots of charm and ambiance. Hotel
Quinta Loreto is located within walking distance to the
best shopping, restaurants and gay bars in the area as well as
all the Festival venues.
