Arturo Miranda Videgaray
Born in February 12, 1963.

Visual artist dedicated to paint, draw, sculpture,
engraving, digital art and art teaching at the Escuela Nacional de Artes
Plásticas (National School of Visual Arts), Antigua Academia de San
Carlos (San Carlos Academy), for the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México
(Autonomus National University of México UNAM).

from the National Institute of Fine Arts of
Mexico, in San Miguel Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico.

Autonomous National University of Mexico UNAM).

Actually he makes a PhD. in Fine Arts at Universidad Politècnica de
Valencia, Spain

Since 1984 he had presented 9 one man exhibitions in
Germany, Mexico and USA, and approximately 90 collective exhibitions in
Germany, Greece, Mexico, Palestine, Peru, Puerto Rico, Russia, Spain, USA,
including paint, sculpture, draw, engraving, electrography, object book, faxart.
Since 1987 he teaches at the National School of Visual
Arts, UNAM, in the area of paint, art theory and drawing.
From 1992 to 1995 he was the Director at the Extension
Center of the National School of Visual Arts, UNAM , in Taxco,
Mexico.
From 1995 to 2002 he was the Chief of the Division
of Continuing Education Studies and Academic Extension of the National
School of Visual Arts, UNAM.
Since 2002 he is the Chief of the Division of
Professional Studies of the National School of Visual Arts, UNAM.
He has published articles about the Arts in acknowledge
Mexican magazines and journals.
In 1989 he founded the independent, marginal and
underground rAt Editorial “Libro-Arte-Correo”, in which he had
published several Object Books including draw, engraving, collage, paint
and mix media.
He has worked in the area of scenography and
theatre.
He has directed several conferences about Art in Cuba,
Dominican Republic, Greece, Mexico, USA.
He lives, work and teaching in Mexico City.
