The
morning session started
with
the second part of the Round Table DIscussion Gender & Social
Transformations, Spaces & Identities (I)
with the
participation of several prominent Mexican activists from many
fields: The first paper was read by Enrique Adar (Diversum México).

In continuation, Musas de Metal - Gay
Women's Association informed us about their latest project: a new
internet radio program addressing the Diversities of Mexico. Ericka
Villegas (Opción Bi) and Antonio Hernandez (Opción Bi) spoke
about their new project Promiscuities / Promiscuidades - another new
internet radio for the Diversities of Mexico.

In the last panel session of this year's
Queer Studies Easter Symposium: Culture, Politics and Society: What about
the Diversities? Adriana Argudín Palavicini (APN Humanista
Demócrata José Ma. Luis Mora) spoke about Human Rights and Social
Opression in Mexico while Hazel
Gloria Davenport (Humana, Nación Trans) and
independent lawyer Víctor
Hugo Flores Ramírez
(Transexualegal) informed us about the
many facetts of the new Gender Identity Law in Mexico.

After 7 intense days and after having heard 118 delegates sharing their
research and visions with us, the last remaining delegates went out for
late lunch after the last session.

Then Jacek Kornak from Poland (Currently at the University of Helsinki)
revealed that he is a bear! |

After a brief intermezzo in the
neighbourhood Roma where we tasted the traditional Mexican bevarage
Pulque in Cantina La Apache, we moved towards the far east of the city
where the last conference activity of the year, was a beer in Bar Las
Tortugas, close to Metro Zaragoza, where Manuel Amador introduced the
delegates to the "Zona Rosa of the Poor".
