How to get to the Queer Studies Easter Symposium 2008
In 2008 the annual Queer Studies Easter Symposium in Mexico City will take place in the Universidad del Claustro de Sor Juana (UCSJ / The Cloister of Sor Juana University) located in the Ex Convent of San Jerónimo (el convento de San Gerónimo de la Imperial Ciudad de México), constructed in the middle of the 16th century. 

UCSJ  is a liberal arts and humanities university in Central Mexico City, which since its foundation has been deeply comitted to the social environment of the city and functions as a center of of contemporary arts and culture.

The convent was founded in 1585 and operated until 1867 when the convent was nationalized. The Convent of San Jerónimo was the home of Sister Juana de la Cruz (1648-1695) for most of her adult life. Here she wrote the majority of her most influential works. 

UCSJ is located in downtown Mexico City (Adress: Izazaga 92, Centro Histórico, between the streets Isabel La Catolica and 5 (cinco) de Febrero. The closest metro station is Isabel La Catolico (Pink Line), just a few steps away from the University.
